The War Studies Club
Welcome
The War Studies Club is a new organisation, founded in 2025 by alumni and staff of the Department of War Studies.
Backed by King's College London's Alumni Office and the Department of War Studies itself, this club is a new initiative launched and run by alumni, working hand-in-hand with the department.
If you are a graduate of the Department of War Studies or School of Security Studies, we would welcome your involvement. Please sign up to express your interest in membership and more by clicking here.
Our activities - and our ambition
Meetings
We meet for drinks on the last Thursday of every month, at the Cheshire Cheese pub on Little Essex St.
Note that this is not the same pub as Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese.
We'll be there at 1800, in the basement bar.
Events
In 2026, we expect to begin collaborating with the Department of War Studies, and the students' War Studies Society, to establish a programme of academic events.
Community
In 2026, we expect to establish opportunities to support the wider War Studies community, including opportunities to mentor and support current and future students.
Interim team
The War Studies Club is a new initiative and has interim leadership. The interim committee is seeking wider participation as we begin work. Please use the form above to express interest in future leadership and support roles.
